인천세관에 따르면, 이번 설명회는 화물운송주선업자와 관련한 법령 등에서 규정하고 있는 등록, 갱신, 변경신고 시 정확한 신고방법과 제출서류의 종류, 주의사항 등을 안내했으며, 매년 화물운송주선업자가 관세법령을 준수하는 정도를 평가하는 ‘법규수행능력평가’에 대해서도 설명했다.

또한 세관장은 화물운송주선업자 업무와 관련하여 관세법이나 관세법에 따른 명령을 위반한 경우 행정제재를 할 수 있으며, 이 처분과 관련하여 화물운송주선업자에 대한 행정제재 내용, 절차, 기준, 사례, 유의사항 등을 알기 쉽게 설명했다.
