(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천해양경찰서가 지난 3일 중구 인천항 인근 해상에서 대규모 기름유출사고를 대비한 민·관 합동 해상방제훈련을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

인천해경에 따르면, 이날 훈련에는 인천해경을 비롯해 중부지방해양경찰청, 해양환경공단, SK인천석유화학 등 6개 기관과 단체에서 130여 명이 참여하고 항공기 1대와 선박 13척 등이 동원됐다.

이들은 인천항 인근 해상에서 유조선과 유선이 충돌한 뒤 유조선의 화물탱크가 파공돼 저유황연료유 10㎘가 유출된 상황을 가정해 훈련에 임했다.

주요 훈련 내용은 유류 이적과 긴급 예인 등 사고선 긴급조치, 파공부위 봉쇄, 오일펜스 설치, 해상 방제작업 등이다.

한재철 인천해경 해양오염방제과장은 “이번 훈련을 통해 대규모 기름유출사고 발생 시 해양오염 피해를 최소화하기 위한 민·관 대응 및 협력체계를 강화했다”며 “깨끗하고 안전한 바다를 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
