(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 계양구가 지난 4일 계양종합사회복지관과 ‘생명존중 안심마을 조성’을 위한 업무협약과 서약식을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

계양구에 따르면, ‘생명존중 안심마을 조성’ 사업은 동 단위 지역사회 내 다양한 기관과의 협력을 통해 지역주민에게 보다 촘촘한 양질의 자살예방 서비스를 제공하고자 지원하는 사업이다. 

계양구는 이번 협약으로 보건·의료, 교육, 복지, 유통판매, 지역사회, 공공서비스의 6개 영역 기관·단체와의 협력체계를 구축하고 ‘고위험군 발굴·개입·연계’, ‘자살예방 인식개선 캠페인’, ‘생명지킴이 교육’, ‘자살고위험군 맞춤형 서비스 지원’, ‘자살위험수단 차단’ 등 자살예방 활동 사업을 추진한다.

계양구는 올해 작전서운동을 생명존중안심마을 조성사업 대상지역으로 지정했다. 

지난 6월 18일 작전서운동과의 서약식을 시작으로 7월 3일 연합 캠페인과 이동상담을 진행하는 등 본격적인 생명존중안심마을 조성에 돌입했다. 

4일 협약을 체결한 계양종합사회복지관과는 종사자 생명지킴이 교육, 마음안심버스 캠페인 운영, 생명존중 홍보물(검사 도구) 비치 등의 자살예방 활동을 추진할 계획이다.

한편, 계양구는 올해 안에 작전서운동 소재 학교, 병·의원, 유통판매업소 등 총 9개의 기관·단체와 서약을 통한 협력체계를 구축하고, 기관·단체별 자살예방 활동을 지원할 계획이다.
