(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 이천식 인천해양경찰서장이 어선 안전문화 확산을 위한 ‘SOS 구조버튼 누르기’ 챌린지에 참여했다.

해양경찰청과 수협중앙회가 공동으로 추진한 이번 챌린지는 위급상황 발생 시 SOS 구조신호 보내기와 구명조끼 입기의 중요성을 강조하기 위해 기획됐다.

임원섭 인천소방본부장의 지목을 받은 이천식 서장은 경기 김포시 대곶면 대명포구에서 위급상황 시 구명조끼를 입고 SOS 구조버튼을 꼭 누르라고 당부했다.

이천식 서장은 “바다에서 활동할 때 구명조끼를 입고, 위급상황 발생 시 신속한 구조를 위해 SOS 구조버튼을 꼭 누르기를 바란다”며 “인천해경은 해양사고로부터 국민의 생명과 재산을 보호하기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

이천식 서장은 SOS 구조버튼 누르기를 이어갈 다음 참여자로 김재철 인천지방해양수산청장을 지목했다.

Incheon Coast Guard Chief Lee Cheon-sik participated in the ‘Press the SOS Rescue Button’ challenge to spread fishing boat safety culture.

This challenge, jointly promoted by the Korea Coast Guard and the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, was designed to emphasize the importance of sending an SOS rescue signal and wearing a life jacket in the event of an emergency.

Chief Lee Cheon-sik, who was nominated by Incheon Fire Department Headquarters Chief Im Won-seop, urged people to wear a life jacket and press the SOS rescue button in case of an emergency at Daemyeong Port, Daegot-myeon, Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do.
