(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 10일, 인천 최초로 취약계층 가정 영유아에 이유식을 지원한다고 밝혔다.

남동구에 따르면, 구는 이달부터 만 12개월 이하 드림스타트 사업 대상 영유아를 대상으로 맞춤형 이유식 지원사업을 시작했다.

이번 사업은 성장과 발달에 있어 중요한 시기인 영유아의 건강을 위해 개월 수에 맞는 맞춤형 이유식을 각 가정에 배달한다.

이유식은 별도의 조리 없이 섭취할 수 있도록 완제품 형태로 제공되며, 영유아 검진 결과 ‘정밀 평가 필요’ 소견을 받은 아동은 추가 지원이 가능하다.

남동구는 이를 통해 이유식 조리에 대한 양육자의 부담을 줄이고, 영유아에게 영양 균형이 잡힌 단계별 맞춤 이유식을 제공해 영양부족을 해소하고 건강한 성장을 지원할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.
