(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 지난 26일 미관광장에서 ‘2024년 부천시 사랑의 김장 나눔’ 행사를 성황리에 마쳤다고 밝혔다.

부천시에 따르면, ‘사랑의 김장 나눔’은 부천시자원봉사센터 주관으로 매년 취약계층의 겨울나기를 지원하기 위해 개최하는 행사로 관내 기업과 봉사단체 등이 참여하고 있으며 올해는 총 11개 단체 및 기업이 함께해 취약계층 733가구에 김치를 전달했다.

이번 행사는 지난 10월, 11개 단체가 모여 부천시청 잔디광장에서 개최한 소·나·기(소중한 것을 나누는 기쁨, 이하 소나기) 바자회 수익금과 부천시자원봉사센터가 ‘경기도자원봉사센터 취약계층 지원 공모사업’에 선정되어 확보한 지원금, 온세미코리아의 후원으로 진행됐다.

이날 조용익 부천시장, 김병전 부천시의회 의장, 이재영 도의원, 장성철 시의원을 비롯해 소나기 바자회에 참여했던 부천시 새마을회, 바르게살기운동 부천시협의회, 한국자유총연맹 부천시지부, 자연보호 부천시협의회 등 국민운동단체와 농협은행 부천시지부, 온세미코리아, 롯데백화점 중동점, 부천시소상공인연합회, 경기피플앤피플봉사단, 예손병원, 전국공무원노동조합 부천시지부 등 11개 단체 임직원들과 자원봉사자 100여 명은 한마음이 되어 절인 배추를 옮기고, 양념을 버무리며 구슬땀을 흘렸다. 

한편, 이날 NH농협 부천시지부(김장섭 지부장)는 취약계층 어르신 가정을 위해 680만 원 상당의 경기미(4kg) 400포를 소사구노인복지관에 기탁하며 나눔의 의미를 더했다.

이날 담근 김치 352상자는 관내 복지기관 및 봉사단체를 통해 현장에서 어려운 이웃 352가구에 바로 전해졌다. 추가로 381가구에는 추후 김치 완제품이 전달될 예정이다.

조용익 부천시장은 “김장 나눔에 참여한 모든 단체와 자원봉사자들께 진심으로 감사드린다”며 “어려운 이웃을 더욱 살뜰히 돌보고 더욱 행복한 공동체가 될 수 있도록 정책적 노력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
