(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 수도권매립지관리공사(이하 공사)가 29일 동절기 대비 기관장 현장 안전점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

공사에 따르면, 이번 현장 안전점검은 제3-1매립장, 슬러지자원화 시설, 도로 등 주요사업장과 건설공사 현장을 대상으로 대설, 화재, 동파 등 재난사고 대비 안전관리 이행 실태 및 저체온증, 동상 등 한랭질환 예방 대책을 중심으로 실시했다.

송병억 사장은 “동절기에도 수도권 2,600만 시민이 배출한 폐기물을 안정적으로 처리하기 위해서는 안전이 최우선이어야 한다“며, 동절기 기간 중 재난안전사고가 발생하지 않도록 만전을 기하여 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 공사는 환경분야 국가핵심기반시설(광역매립장)을 관리하는 재난관리책임기관으로서 국가핵심기반 재난관리평가에서 5년 연속 우수기관으로 선정된 바 있다.
