(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천해양경찰서가 지난 2일, 이광진 인천해경서장이 가을철 해상 낚시 최성수기를 맞아 인천 관내 낚시어선 주요 조업지를 점검했다고 밝혔다.

인천해경에 따르면, 이번 점검은 해상에서 낚시를 즐기는 사람들이 일일 약 3천 명으로 대폭 늘어남에 따라 낚시어선 및 레저보트들이 많이 모이는 주요 조업지의 안전위해요소를 확인하기 위해 진행됐다.

이광진 서장은 이날 경비함정을 타고 팔미도, 무의도 및 초지도 인근 해상을 순찰하며 낚시어선 안전 위해행위와 구명조끼 착용 여부 등을 살펴봤다.

또, 경비함정 경찰관들에게 긴급 대비·대응태세를 강조하고 안전관리 애로사항 등을 청취했다.

인천해경은 가을 성수기와 추석 명절을 맞아 지난  9월 1일부터 오는 10월  31일까지 다중이용선박 안전관리 강화기간을 설정해 취약해역 안전순찰 및 해상교통질서 유지를 강화할 방침이다.

이광진 서장은 “가을철 안전한 해상낚시를 즐기기 위해서는 구명조끼 착용과 선내 음주 금지, 승선정원 초과 금지 등 안전수칙을 꼭 지켜주길 당부드린다”며 “바다를 찾는 국민들이 안전하게 낚시를 즐길 수 있도록 해양사고 예방과 대응에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
