Incheon City expands and builds QR code electronic questionnaire system at screening clinics
Experimental operation of 4 county and gu health centers expanded to 10
-Break News Incheon Reporter Park Sang-do

Incheon Metropolitan City decided to introduce an electronic questionnaire system to reduce the risk of exposure to infection at the COVID-19 screening clinic and reduce the fatigue of field staff.

The city of Incheon plans to expand the QR code-based electronic medical questionnaire system, which is currently being piloted at screening clinics in four counties and districts, to all 10 counties and districts.

Previously, screening clinics installed in four county and gu health centers, including Jung-gu, Yeonsu-gu, Namdong-gu, and Ongjin-gun, have been piloting the QR code-based electronic medical questionnaire system since last June.

The expansion of the QR code-based electronic questionnaire system was made possible by a university student's suggestion to Mayor Park Nam-chun through SNS, and Mayor Park responded to it.

The current screening clinic's testing system proceeds in the following order: waiting → interviewing → collecting → returning home. pointed out that there is

Therefore, he suggested that switching to an electronic questionnaire using a QR code instead of filling out the questionnaire by hand would reduce the waiting time, lower the risk of infection, and reduce the workload of workers at screening clinics.

Mayor Park Nam-chun saw that the university student's suggestion was valid and ordered the relevant departments to review the expansion operation.

In the QR code-based electronic medical questionnaire system, the inspector scans the QR code on the spot, writes an electronic questionnaire, and then prints the barcode after checking the identity and contents of the questionnaire at the reception desk to collect the specimen.

By introducing this system, it is expected that the burden of field workers due to handwriting can be reduced and problems such as phone number input errors can be minimized.

In addition, it is expected to reduce the risk of infection due to the concentration of people waiting to be tested.

The city of Incheon plans to operate an electronic questionnaire system using QR codes by the end of this week in consultation with six county and gu health centers that do not currently have a system in place.

In addition, inspectors who do not use smartphones will be provided with on-site support so that they can write handwritten notes in the conventional way.

Meanwhile, in Incheon, the number of tests per day has been around 15,000 since July 6, when the number of confirmed cases began to rapidly increase.

Accordingly, Incheon City plans to consider introducing an electronic questionnaire system using QR codes to temporary screening centers in addition to screening clinics.

Mayor Park Nam-chun said, “A university student, who is a citizen mayor, gave me a good proposal, so I decided to actively accept it. We hope that the risks and workloads on the workers will be reduced,” he said.
