이번 협약을 통해 오는 11월 1일부터 부평구에 거주하는 다자녀가정(만18세 이하의 자녀가 셋 이상인 가정)의 부모와 자녀가 협약기관에서 진료 시 병원진료비(일부 항목 제외)본인부담금의 10%를 감면받을 수 있다.

부평구 합계출산율은 지난 2020년 기준 0.71명으로 인천시 0.83명, 전국평균 0.84명보다 낮은 수준이며, 출생아 수가 지속적으로 감소하고 있어 이를 개선하기 위한 방안이 필요한 상황이다.

또한, 지난 19일 부평구가  학대피해아동에 대한 신속하고 체계적인 의료지원 체계 구축을 위해 가톨릭대학교 인천성모병원과 아동학대전담의료기관 업무협약식을 진행했다.

이번 업무협약은 ▲학대피해아동에 대한 신체적, 정신적 검사 및 검진·치료 ▲친권자 등의 비동행시에도 관련법이 허용하는 범위에서 진료와 진단 제공 ▲피해아동의 정황적 증거에 대한 소견 제시 등의 내용을 담았다.
