인천시교육청은 올해 신설 학교 및 사립유치원과 학교 건물 분리동이 있는 경우 교당 200만원씩 추가 구입 예산을 지원한다.

이는 학교 건물 간 거리가 멀어 골든타임 확보가 어려운 학교를 중심으로 응급상황에서 신속하게 대처하는 환경을 마련하기 위함이다.

지원 대상은 사립유치원 198대, 공립유치원 32대, 초등학교 69대, 중학교 46대, 고등학교 50대, 특수학교 6대, 학력 인정평생교육시설 1대 등 367교에 총 402대다.

인천시교육청 관계자는 “자동심장충격기는 심정지 등 응급상황에 대처하는 필수 장비이다”며 “응급상황 시 최초 발견자가 자동심장충격기를 올바르게 사용할 수 있도록 교직원 대상 심폐소생술 교육도 함께 이뤄질 계획이다”고 말했다.
