(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천본부세관이 8일 수입자의 올바른 신고를 돕기 위해, 쇠고기·조기·고추·대두 등 주요 농․수․축산물의 품목분류(품목번호 결정)기준을 알기 쉽게 설명한 안내자료를 제작해 배포했다.

수입 농ㆍ수ㆍ축산물은 같은 종류라도 ‘가공 정도’에 따라 관세율의 차이가 크기 때문에, 이를 정확히 판단해 품목번호를 확정하는 것이 쉽지 않으며, 실제로 농ㆍ수ㆍ축산물을 수입자가 세관에 품목번호를 실제 물품과 다르게 신고해 통관한 후, 고세율의 관세를 추징 받는 사례가 발생하곤 했다.

 
이에 인천본부세관은 수입자의 적정한 품목번호 결정을 지원하고 사후 고세율 추징에 따른 불필요한 사회적 마찰을 줄이고자, 주요 농ㆍ수ㆍ축산물에 대한 관세법령상의 품목분류 적용 기준(관세법 제85조),  세관의 주요 추징사례 등을 안내 자료에 담아 배포했다.

이 자료는 종이 소책자 형태로 세관 대민창구 등에 비치되고, 관세청(UNI-PASS, 관세법령정보포털), 인천세관, 관세사회 등 유관기관 누리집에서도 E-book 형태로 확인할 수 있다.

정재하 인천본부세관 분석실장은 “이번 안내자료가 농ㆍ수ㆍ축산물을 수입하는 국민에게 실질적인 도움이 되길 바란다”며, “수입자 또한 수입신고 전에 세관, 관세사 등을 통해 수입물품의 품목분류 기준을 꼼꼼히 검토해줄 것”을 당부했다.
