(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 지난해 4월 문을 연 ‘예술나루 레지던시’는 서구청, 서구문화재단, 한국수자원공사가 경인아라뱃길 여객터미널 내 유휴공간 활용을 위한 협약을 통해 출범했다.

현재 서구문화재단 예술지원사업 ‘SEORO’를 통해 선정된 청년예술가 3명이 입주해 창작활동에 매진하고 있다.
 

서구문화재단은 오는 26일부터 28일까지 1기 입주작가 오픈 스튜디오‘출항:出港’을 개최한다.
 

이번 전시는 입주작가의 작업을 살펴볼 수 있는 시간이다.

‘오픈 스튜디오’라는 뜻처럼 레지던시의 문을 개방해 시민, 미술애호가 등 누구나 레지던시를 ‘들락날락’하며 작품과 작업 공간을 둘러보고 작업 과정이 녹아있는 자료까지 열람할 수 있다.
 

이번 전시는 ▲미디어와 다매체를 대상으로 일상 속 풍경을 해체, 새롭게 재해석하는 (미디어) 김진주, ▲‘금붕인’이라는 캐릭터를 소재로 폭력을 휘두르는 금붕인의 모습을 통해 인간의 우매함을 우회적으로 보여주는 (시각) 이승연, ▲‘바람’을 주제로 한지를 이용해 색체 추상 작업을 하는 (시각) 호정 작가의 파트로 구성됐다.
 

작가별 연계프로그램도 흥미롭다. 김진주 작가가 찍은 사진 속 낱말과 단어를 사용해 새로운 문장을 만들어보는 프로그램, 금붕인 엽서를 색칠하고 말풍선에 ‘나에게 가장 상처가 되었던 말’을 적어보는 이승연 작가의 프로그램, 관람객과 작가가 마음속 이야기를 나눈 후 이를 토대로 드로잉 작업을 해볼 수 있는 호정 작가의 프로그램이 전시 기간 내 상시 준비되어 있다. 또한 작가에게 응원의 메시지도 전할 수 있다.

‘Art Naru Residency’, which opened in April last year, was launched through an agreement between Seo-gu Office, Seo-gu Cultural Foundation, and Korea Water Resources Corporation to utilize idle space in the Gyeongin Ara Waterway Passenger Terminal.

Currently, three young artists selected through the Seogu Cultural Foundation art support project ‘SEORO’ have moved in and are working hard on their creative activities.
 

The Seogu Cultural Foundation will hold the first open studio ‘Departure: 出港’ from the 26th to the 28th.
 

This exhibition is a time to look at the works of resident artists.

As the meaning of 'open studio', the door of the residency is opened so that citizens and art lovers can 'in and out' the residency, look around works and workspaces, and even read materials that contain the work process.
 

This exhibition presents ▲ Kim Jin-ju (media) who deconstructs and reinterprets everyday landscapes in a new way for media and multi-media, and ▲ a gold-bage man who wields violence with the character of 'Gold-bowman' as the subject of this exhibition. It is composed of parts by Seungyeon Lee (visual) and Jeong Ho Jeong (visual), who works with color abstraction using Korean paper with the theme of 'wind'.
 

The collaboration program for each artist is also interesting.
