(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 연안정비기본계획에 따라 올해 12월까지 준공을 목표로 총 40억 원의 예산을 투입해 연안정비사업에 속도를 낸다.

연안정비사업은 훼손된 연안을 정비하는 연안보전사업과 쾌적한 연안환경을 조성하는 친수공간 조성사업으로 해양수산부에서 10년마다 연안정비기본계획을 수립하며, 지난 2020년 6월 제3차 연안정비기본계획(2020 ~ 2029)이 수립‧고시됐다.

오는 연말까지 준공 예정인 대표적 연안보전사업 지구는 중구 하나개지구, 강화군 동막지구, 옹진군 대이작 큰풀안·작은풀안 해안1지구 등 3곳이다. 이들 지구에는 해안의 침식을 막기 위해 모래를 채워 인위적으로 해변을 조성하는 양빈사업을 시행할 예정이다.

중구 하나개지구 15,000㎥, 강화군 동막지구 8,000㎥, 옹진군 대이작 큰풀안·작은풀안 해안1지구 17,724㎥ 등 , 총 40,724㎥의 모래가 투입된다.

그중 강화군 동막지구에는 호안과 방사제 공사도 함께 시행한다.

또, 연말까지 강화군 동막지구 친수공간 조성 설계용역을 마무리한다는 방침이다.
 

이어 내년에는 강화군 동막지구의 친수공간 및 해안산책로 조성 공사와 옹진군 소이작 벌안해안지구 연안보전사업의 설계 용역을 준공하고, 2024년에는 옹진군 소이작 벌안해안지구의 양빈사업과 비사 방지 울타리 공사를 마무리해 연안정비사업을 차질없이 수행한다는 계획이다.

이종신 시 해양친수과장은 “해일, 파랑, 연안침식 등으로부터 관내 연안을 보호하고, 훼손된 연안을 정비해 안전하고 지속 가능한 연안환경 조성에 적극 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
