(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구가 오는 10월 8일 아라뱃길 여객터미널 일원에서 K-water(한국수자원공사 아라뱃길지사)와 공동으로 수상레저 축제 ‘2022 정서진 아라뱃길 카약 축제’를 개최한다. 
 
서구는 이번 축제에서 카약과 패들보드(SUP)가 펼치는 비경쟁 레이스인 ‘카약 퍼레이드’ 등 수상레저 프로그램과 함께 어린이 사생대회, 버스킹공연, 음악콘서트 등 문화행사 프로그램, 문화체험부스, 푸드트럭존 등 부대행사 등 다양한 볼거리와 즐길 거리를 마련한다고 설명했다. 
 

카약 퍼레이드에서는 1, 2, 4km 종주 등에 2인 1조 카약 100척, 싯인카약 10척, 패들보드 30대가 운영된다.

완주자에게는 완주 메달과 팀별, 개인별 완주기록을 제공한다.

참가 희망자는 오는 30일까지 해양레저포털 홈페이지에서 사전 신청하거나 축제 당일 현장에서 신청할 수 있다. 
 

문화행사로 열리는 어린이 사생대회는 초등학생 200명이 참가할 예정으로 30일까지 온라인으로 신청하거나 현장 참가 신청을 받는다.

시상은 대상 1명, 최우수상 2명, 우수상 4명, 장려상 10명을 시상할 예정이다.
 

축제 당일 오후에는 카약을 타고 수상에서 일몰을 바라보는 체험인 ‘선셋 카약킹’이 일몰 시간대에 맞춰 탄력적으로 운영될 예정이다.
