(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 지난 27일 전문가, 학부모, 교사, 시민 등이 참여한 가운데 인천교육균형발전 2차 공청회를 개최했다.

2023~2027년 5개년간 적용되는 교육균형발전 종합계획 수립을 위한 2차 공청회에서는 교육균형발전TF 활동과 시민과 학교를 대상으로 한 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 균형발전 대상교 선정기준(안)과 세부추진과제(안)을 제시하고 의견을 수렴했다.

이날 공청회에서는 환경 및 인적 인프라 확충, 학교 맞춤형 지원, 지역사회 연계 등 종합계획의 4개 중점과제와 17개 세부 추진과제에 대한 다양한 의견 교환이 뤄졌으며, 특히 대상교 인적 인프라 확충 및 지역사회 연계 방안에 대해 열띤 토론이 오갔다.

대상교 선정과 관련해서도 학교 건립 시기, 학생 수 감소 비율, 학교 특색 사업 계획 등 선정 기준 지표에 대해 논의했다.

인천시교육청 관계자는 “지역과 학교의 특성을 반영한 학교 맞춤형 지원으로 교육균형발전을 꾀하겠다”고 강조하면서 “지역사회와 연계·협력의 강화를 통해 교육환경의 종합적 개선을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
