(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구가 경인아라뱃길을 가로지르는 시천교와 청운교 조명 보수와 개선을 통해 야간경관을 새로 단장했다. 
 

서구는 이를 위해 야간경관 개선사업으로 시천교에 투광등 174개, 청운교에 투광등 88개를 설치하는 등 경관을 재정비했다.
 

서구 관계자는 “그동안 시천교와 청운교는 조명 노후화로 인해 상당 기간 조명이 미점등되는 등 개선 필요성이 있었다”고 설명했다.
 

서구는 시천교의 경우 교각 측면 투광등을 부드럽고 밝은 톤과 은은하고 따뜻한 톤을 사용해 시간별, 구간별로 다른 연출이 가능하도록 입체감 있게 경관을 꾸몄다고 밝혔다.

이로써 조명이 아라뱃길을 밝게 물들여 아름다운 야경이 더욱 돋보이게 될 것이라고 덧붙였다.
 

서구 관계자는 “이번 개선사업을 통해 아라뱃길이 더욱 아름다운 모습으로 변모해 일상에 지친 주민들에게 활력이 될 것으로 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 다양한 경관 사업으로 서구만의 도시경관을 만들고 도시 품격을 높이도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
