(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인동초등학교가 지난 11월 18일부터 20일까지 경상북도 상주에서 열린 제15회 전국 학교스포츠클럽 농구 축전 남자초등부에 홍승권, 강은영 교사를 주축으로 인천 대표로 참가해 3승 전승하는 우수한 성적을 거뒀다고 밝혔다.

인동초에 따르면, 이번 전국 학교스포츠클럽 농구 축전에는 전국 시도를 대표하는 15개 초등 농구부 참가팀이  4개 조로 나눠 예선전을 펼쳤으며 경기 첫째 날, 인동초는 충북 단양 매포초와의 첫 경기부터 43:10이란 대승을 시작으로, 둘째 날 강원도 원주의 단관초 또한 35:6으로 여유 있는 경기를 펼치며 승리를 거둬 A조 1위를 차지했다.

마지막 20일은 B조 1위인 경상남도 함양의 함양초와 경기에서 1쿼터에서 8:8로 접전이 이어지다가  2쿼터에서 점수차를 벌이며 35:18로 우승을 차지했다.

전국 학교스포츠클럽 대회 운영상 순위를 내지 않지만, 인동초 성적을 종합해 보면 전국에서도 상위권에 준하는 실력으로 평가된다.

축전에 참가한 인동초 학생들은 함께 뜻을 맞춰 이뤄낸 갑진 우승을 가슴에 간직하며 앞으로의 삶의 양식이 될 것 같다며 기뿐 마음을 감추지 못했으며 또한 “부모님처럼 챙겨주신 선생님들의 지원과 응원 덕분에 좋은 결과가 있었다”고 했다.
