IWPG, 평화사랑 그림그리기 국제대회 대상 이다영 학생 수상
52개국 145개 도시, 1만 2천여 명의 어린이와 청소년 참가

(브레이크크뉴스인천 박상도 기자)  ㈔세계여성평화그룹(IWPG, 대표 윤현숙) 주최하고 IWPG 국내외 지부가 주관하는 제4회 ‘평화사랑 그림그리기 국제대회’의 본선 시상식이 지난 29일 오후 9시(현지시각)에 수상자와 가족 등이 온라인으로 참석한 가운데 성료했다고 밝혔다. 


여성평화그룹에 따르면, 평화사랑 그림그리기 국제대회는 ‘평화문화 전파를 위한 정책’ 중 하나로 어린이와 청소년들에게 지구촌 전쟁종식 세계평화를 함께 이루고자 하는 ‘평화의 마음’을 심어주기 위해 기획됐다.


또, 지구촌에서 빈번히 일어나는 내전과 분쟁으로 고통받는 이들에게 평화에 대한 소망과 전 세계에 평화의 메시지를 그림으로 전한다는 목표로 IWPG와 국가별 미술협회, 예술가협회 등 다수의 단체와 연계해 매년 행사를 진행하고 있다. 


이번 대회는 ‘평화의 빛으로 하나되는 지구촌’을 주제로 전 세계 어린이‧청소년(만 7세~만 17세) 1만 2천여 명(해외 7,408명 대한민국 4,524명)이 참가해 예선을 통과한 각국의 작품 3점씩이 본선에 진출해 기량을 겨뤘으며 지난 5월부터 7월까지 52개국 145개 도시에서 예선 대회가 진행됐다.


이번 공모전 대상에는 이다영(Lee Da Yeong, 대한민국 동해, 13세) 학생의 ‘우리를 향한 평화의 바람’ 작품이 수상의 영예를 안았다.


이다영 학생은 “손을 잡고 있는 두 친구처럼 각국이 서로 전쟁하지 않고 친구처럼 사이좋게 지낼 수 있는 진정한 평화가 이루어졌으면 좋겠다”면서 그림을 설명했다.


대상 작품에 대해 심사위원들은 “인종차별 없는 지구촌에 자유와 평화의 메시지가 뚜렷이 표현됐다”는 평가를 했으며 대상에게는 상장과 함께 장학금 100만 원이 전달됐다.
 

최우수상에는 방글라데시의 아니샤 샤요이(Anisha Santoni, 초등부), 대한민국의 김건(Kim Geon, 중등부), 태국의 카윈 스만삭시리(Kawin Smansaksiri, 고등부) 등 3명이 상장과 함께 장학금 각 20만 원씩을 부상으로 받았다.
 

우수상은 레바논의 테임 타지 알 딘(Taym Taj AL Deen), 대한민국의 류민하(Ryu Min Ha, 초등부), 스리랑카의 세하 우만디 락타아케(Sneha Yumandhi Rathnayake), 대한민국의 전설(Jeon Seol, 중등부), 레바논의 말락 마타르(Malak Mata), 대한민국의 김시윤(Kim Si Yoon, 고등부) 등 6명에게 상장과 장학금을 각 10만 원씩 전달했다.


이밖에도 호주의 잔비카 아그라왈(Jaanvika Agarwal) 등 21명이 장려상을, 한솔(미협이사장상), 공명서(예총회장상) 등 2명이 대한민국의 특별상을, 모로코의 북차케체 하나에(Boukchakeche Hanae) 등 88명이 입선을 했다.


윤현숙 대표는 인사말을 통해 “올해의 그림 주제는 ‘평화의 빛으로 하나되는 지구촌’이다. 이번 수상작들의 예술성과 창의성이 매우 뛰어나고, 그림에 담긴 평화의 메시지로 인해 마음에 감동을 받았다”며 “우리는 지금 어느 때보다도 평화가 절실한 시기에 살고 있다. 평화를 이루기 위해서는 전쟁이 아니라 평화가 당연한 것임을 일깨우고 평화문화를 전 세계에 전해야 한다. 그림에 펼쳐진 세상처럼 평화의 문화로 지구촌이 하나되는 그날이 하루속히 완성되기를 소망한다”고 말했다.


한편, 본선 수상 작품은 행사 중 온라인 전시회를 통해 감상할 수 있으며, 작품은 도록으로 출판되어 대한민국은 물론 해외 수상자들에게도 발송될 예정이다.
