(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 오는 2월 15일까지  한국장학재단에서 대출받은 대학(원)생 학자금대출(등록금, 생활비)의 이자지원 대상자 접수를 받는다고 밝혔다.

인천시에 따르면, 2019년 1학기부터 대출받은 학자금의 지난해 하반기(2022년 7월부터 12월까지) 발생한 이자 전액이 지원되며 지원대상은 부모 또는 본인이 1년 이상 계속 인천시에 주민등록이 돼 있는 국내 대학교(대학원 포함) 재·휴학생 및 미취업 졸업생으로, 한국장학재단에서 산정하는 가구소득 8분위 이하이거나 3자녀 이상 다자녀가구인 경우이며 대학생은 졸업 후 5년 이내, 대학원생은 졸업 후 2년 이내까지 지원된다.

인천시는 학자금대출로 인해 부채 문제에 직면한 청년들을 지원하기 위해 2019년부터 대학생 학자금대출 이자지원사업을 시작했고 올해부터는 대학원생을 신규로 지원하며 미취업 졸업생 지원기간도 2년에서 5년까지로 확대하는 등 지원대상을 대폭 늘렸다.

신청‧접수 기간은 2월 15일(수) 오전 9시부터 ~ 3월 14일(화) 오후 6시까지며, 시 누리집→소통참여→대학생 학자금대출이자 지원신청 게시판에서 온라인 신청 한 후 구비서류를 첨부하면 된다.

신청 시 제출서류는 대학(원) 재학생․휴학생은 주민등록초본, 재학(휴학)증명서. 대학(원) 졸업생은 주민등록초본, 졸업증명서, 건강보험자격득실확인서이며, 다자녀가구(3명 이상의 자녀)인 경우는 가족관계증명서를 추가로 제출하면 된다.

대출이자 지원 여부와 금액은 오는 5월 말 확정해 대출계좌 상환처리 형태로 지원될 예정이며, 한국장학재단 누리집에서 대출계좌별로 지원 내역을 확인할 수 있다.
