(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구가 지난 19일 구의원, 교육공무원, 교육전문가 등으로 구성된 ‘교육경비보조심의위원회’를 개최하고 총 139개교의 346개 사업에 25억1천6백만원의 교육경비보조금 지원을 확정했다고 밝혔다. 

서구에 따르면, 교육경비보조금 중점지원 대상은 학교 맞춤형 교육, 미래역량 강화 교육, 세계시민교육 교육, 문화예술체험 교육 등을 포함한 ‘교육과정’ 분야와 유휴교실을 활용한 공간혁신, 스마트 교육환경개선 등의 ‘환경개선’ 분야이며, 해당 분야에 총 16억 1천5백만원을 지원할 예정이다.

또, 맞춤형 진로교실 프로그램과 과학인재 육성교실 등 서부교육지원청과 연계한 사업에 1억 8천5백만원 지원을 확정했으며, 40개 사립‧공립단설 유치원에 2억원을 지원하여 저출산 시대 유아 교육에도 앞장선다.

이 밖에 교육혁신지구 사업의 일환으로 문화예술동아리 지원 및 마을연계교육과정 지원 사업에 총 5억 1천6백만원을 교부하여, 지역인재 양성에도 적극적으로 투자할 계획이다.
