(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천삼산경찰서가 27일, 보행자 교통안전을 위해 ‘횡단보도 보행자주의’ 문구가 담긴 형광 포인트 존 스티커를 부착했다고 밝혔다. 

삼산경찰서에 따르면, ‘포인트존 스티커’는 형광 광각초고휘도 반사지로 제작되어 주간 뿐만 아니라 야간에도 가시성과 시인성이 높아, 보행자에 대한 차량 운전자의 경각심을 향상시켜준다. 

설치 장소는 관내 주요 교차로, 노인·어린이보호구역 내 도로와 인도를 구분해주는 교통안전 시설물 표지판 기둥과 펜스 등에 50여개를 부착했다. 

이에 삼산경찰서는 앞으로 무단횡단·사고다발지역에 확대 설치하여 ‘보행자들은 안전보행, 운전자들은 안전운전’ 등 안전한 교통문화 정착을 위해 지속적인 홍보활동을 전개할 계획이다.
