(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 중부지방해양경찰청이 지난 1일 태안 신진도 소재 태안해경구조대에서‘해경-해군 합동 해상재난 대응훈련’을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

중부해경청에 따르면, 이날 훈련은 해상에서 전복선박 등 해상재난시 해경과 해군이 협동해 대응역량 향상을 위해 실시 했으며, 해경구조대원과 해군 2함대 7구조작전중대원 총 25명이 참가했다.

이번 합동 훈련은 태안해경구조대에 설치되어 있는‘전복선박훈련시설’에서 전복선박 내 고립된 조난자 상황을 가정하여 선내 진입, 선체절단, 탈출구 개방 등 고립자 구조에 중점을 두고 진행됐다.

특히, 수중 시야 확보가 어려운 서해 바다에서 구조 난이도가 높은 전복 사고상황을 간접적으로 경험할 수 있어 현장에 참여한 해경, 해군 구조대원들의 합동 구조역량을 대폭 강화할 수 있는 기회였다.

중부해경청장은“해양경찰과 해군의 협동성 향상과 업무 이해도 증진을 위해 훈련을 진행했다.”라며, “앞으로도 정기적으로 해군과의 합동 훈련을 실시하여 바다에서 소중한 국민의 생명과 재산을 보호할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.

한편, 전복선박훈련시설은 약 2톤급, 길이10m, 폭 2.6m, 높이 3m로 제작된 모의 선박 훈련시설로 태안해경에서 2023년 10월에 설치했다.
