(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천공항본부세관이 27일, 지난 2019년 10월부터 올해 6월까지 ‘사랑의 동전 모으기’를 통해 모금한 세계 각국의 동전과 지폐를 유니세프 한국위원회에 전달했다고 밝혔다.
인천공항세관에 따르면, ‘사랑의 동전 모으기’는 내·외국인 해외 여행객이 여행 중 사용하고 남은 동전 등을 모금하여 환경이 어려운 세계 아동을 돕는 행사로 인천공항세관은 2003년 6월부터 지금까지 총 6회에 걸쳐 약 1.2억원의 성금을 전달했다.
이번 제 7회차 성금은 2019년 10월부터 올해 6월까지 인천공항 입·출국장에 설치된 ‘사랑의 동전 모금함’에 기부된 금액으로 약 1,980여 만원의 성금이 모아졌다.
김종호 인천공항본부세관장은 앞으로도 ‘사랑의 동전 모으기 운동’을 실시하여 세계 불우한 어린이를 돕고, 기부문화의 확산에 앞장서 나가겠다고 밝혔다.

Incheon Airport Main Customs Office announced on the 27th that it delivered coins and banknotes from around the world collected through 'Coin of Love' from October 2019 to June of this year to the UNICEF Korea Committee.
According to Incheon Airport Customs Office, 'Coin of Love' is an event to help children around the world in difficult environments by collecting coins and other leftover items used by domestic and foreign travelers during their travels. Incheon Airport Customs Office has delivered a total of about 120 million won in donations over 6 occasions since June 2003.
This 7th donation was made from the ‘Love Coin Collection Box’ installed at the Incheon Airport Arrival and Departure Hall from October 2019 to June of this year, and approximately 19.8 million won was collected.
