(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 최근 서울 중구 한국프레스센터에서 개최된 ‘2024 대한민국 커뮤니케이션 대상’에서 시승격 50주년 기념 단행본과 시정 소식지로 2관왕의 영예를 거머쥐었다.

부천시에 따르면, 올해로 34회를 맞은 대한민국 커뮤니케이션 대상은 비즈니스 저널리즘 산업의 발전을 도모하기 위해 한국사보협회가 주관하고, 문화체육관광부·한국기자협회 등이 후원하는 권위 있는 행사다.

이날 부천시가 제작한 단행본 ‘부천 50년, 50개의 역사적 순간들 ‘THE SCENE 50’은 기획·디자인 부문에서 ‘우수상’을 수상했다. 

지난 50년의 부천의 역사와 문화, 부천 사람의 이야기를 통해 다가올 희망적인 미래를 그린 책자는 문헌을 근거로 한 사실적인 이야기와 다양한 사진을 독특한 시각으로 엮어내 호평을 얻었다. 

단행본은 부천시 관내 도서관과 부천시 홈페이지에서 전자책으로 만나볼 수 있다.

아울러 인쇄사보 공공 부문에서 ‘외부유관단체상’을 수상한 시정 소식지 ‘복사골부천’은 여러 분야의 시정 정보 전달은 물론 참신한 기획과 세련되고 감각적인 디자인으로 부천의 도시브랜드 품격을 높였다는 평가를 받았다. 

특히 어린이·노인 등 세대별 특화 페이지를 통해 독자의 욕구를 충족시키고 정보 소외 계층을 위한 ‘복사골부천’ 점자책 제작, 오디오북 서비스, 웹진 운영 등 홍보 다각화를 위해 노력한 점을 인정받았다. 

이로써 ‘복사골부천’은 2022~2023년, 2년 연속 문화체육관광부 장관상에 이어 3년 연속 수상이라는 기쁨을 안았다.

조용익 부천시장은 “이번 수상은 정보제공을 넘어 세대 간 소통의 역할을 위해 꾸준히 노력해 온 결과”라며 “앞으로도 부천의 역사, 문화, 관광을 아우르며 부천의 브랜드를 알리는 다양한 콘텐츠를 제작해 ‘부천다운’ 깊이 있는 내용으로 보답하겠다”고 말했다.

Bucheon City recently won 2nd place at the '2024 Korea Communication Awards' held at the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul for a book commemorating the 50th anniversary of its promotion to a city and a city newsletter.

According to Bucheon City, the 34th Korea Communication Awards is an authoritative event hosted by the Korea Press Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Journalists Association to promote the development of the business journalism industry.

On this day, the booklet ‘Bucheon 50 Years, 50 Historical Moments ‘THE SCENE 50’ produced by Bucheon City won the ‘Excellence Award’ in the planning and design category.

The booklet, which depicts the history and culture of Bucheon over the past 50 years and the stories of Bucheon people, and a hopeful future to come, received favorable reviews for its unique perspective of realistic stories based on literature and various photos.

The booklet can be found as an e-book at libraries in Bucheon City and on the Bucheon City website.

In addition, the city newsletter 'Boksagol Bucheon', which won the 'External Related Organization Award' in the public sector of the printing company, was evaluated to have enhanced the quality of Bucheon's city brand with novel planning and sophisticated and sensuous design as well as conveying city information in various fields.

In particular, it was recognized for its efforts to satisfy the needs of readers through specialized pages for each generation such as children and the elderly, and to diversify its publicity by producing 'Boksagol Bucheon' Braille books for the information-deprived class, providing audiobook services, and operating a webzine.

With this, 'Boksagol Bucheon' has the joy of winning the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award for 2 consecutive years from 2022 to 2023, for the 3rd consecutive year.

Mayor Cho Yong-ik of Bucheon said, "This award is the result of our consistent efforts to go beyond providing information and play a role in intergenerational communication," and added, "We will continue to produce diverse content that promotes Bucheon's brand by covering Bucheon's history, culture, and tourism, and repay you with in-depth content that is 'Bucheon-like.'"
