(브레이크스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 지난 1일부터 학교도서관 시설 및 자료 기준을 개정.시행한다고 밝혔다.

인천시교육청에 따르면, 이번 개정은 학교도서관진흥법 시행령 제8조에 따라 관내 모든 학교에 적용된다.

주요 개정 내용은 시설 기준의 경우, 학생 수에 따라 최소 면적을 100㎡ 이상(400명 미만)에서 198㎡ 이상(900명 이상)으로 확대하고, 자료 및 열람 공간, 수업 및 공유 공간, 업무 공간으로 구분하여 공간 활용도를 높였다. 

방음, 온·습도, 채광, 조도 등 쾌적하고 안전한 도서관 환경 조성을 위한 세부적인 설계 지침도 마련하였다. 

자료 기준은 학급 수에 따라 최소 장서 기준을 3,000권(7학급 미만)에서 12,000권(31학급 이상)으로 높이고, 연간 추가 자료 확보량을 규정하여 자료의 최신성과 다양성을 확보했다. 

장서 구성 비율은 문학, 역사, 사회과학 등 다양한 주제를 균형 있게 포함하도록 했다.

15년 만에 전면 개정된 이번 기준은 학생수와 학급수에 따라 유연하게 적용되어 각 학교의 규모와 실정에 맞는 학교도서관 운영을 지원한다. 

인천시교육청 관계자는 "이번 개정으로 학교도서관이 '읽걷쓰'의 핵심 공간으로 자리매김하고 학생 중심의 미래형 도서관 모델을 제시할 수 있도록 지원하겠다"고 밝혔다.

Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 1st that it will revise and implement school library facilities and materials standards.

According to Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, this revision will be applied to all schools in the jurisdiction in accordance with Article 8 of the Enforcement Decree of the School Library Promotion Act.

The main revision contents are as follows: In terms of facility standards, the minimum area has been expanded from 100㎡ or more (less than 400 students) to 198㎡ or more (900 students or more) depending on the number of students, and space utilization has been increased by dividing them into materials and reading space, class and shared space, and work space.
