(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 지난 1월부터 인천시 전 기관에서 추진하고 있는 ‘종이 없는 전자계약’ 제도에 대해 계약 업체들의 만족도가 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다고 밝혔다.

인천시에 따르면, 이번 조사는 올해 인천시와 전자계약 방식으로 계약을 체결한 74개 업체를 대상으로 지난달 15일부터 3일간 온라인으로 실시됐으며, 제도에 대한 전반적인 만족도와 만족·불만족 사유 등을 포함한 5개 문항으로 진행됐다.

조사 결과, 응답자의 98.6%가 제도에 만족한다고 답변했다. 

주요 만족 이유로는 비대면 계약으로 인한 방문 비용 및 시간 절감(74%), 신속한 업무 처리(18%), 종이 절감(7%), 문서 관리의 효율성(1%) 순으로 나타났다.

다만, 대용량 문서의 전자화(9%)와 전자제출 시스템 가입 절차의 어려움(7%)이 불편 사항으로 지적됐음에도 불구하고 향후에도 전자계약 제도를 이용할 의향이 있다고 답한 응답자는 94%에 달했다.

인천시 관계자는 “종이 없는 전자계약 제도에 대한 높은 만족도를 바탕으로 제도를 더욱 개선하고, 내년에는 이를 완전히 정착시킬 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

한편, 인천시는 9월 기준으로 전자계약 방식을 통해 민원인의 행정기관 방문 비용 약 4억 2천만 원을 절감했으며, 종이 사용량( 182,025장)을 줄여 이산화탄소 배출량 1톤 감축 등 친환경 효과를 거뒀다. 

또한 종이 사용량 감소로 약 268만 원의 예산도 절약하는 성과를 냈다.
