(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 3일, 해외 온라인 쇼핑몰을 통한 다이어트 식품의 직접구매(이하 해외직구)가 지속적으로 증가함에 따라 체중감량 효과를 표방하는 식품을 기획 수거·검사했다고 밝혔다.

인천시에 따르면, 해외직구로 구매한 정제, 캡슐 형태의 다이어트 식품 30건을 대상으로 위해성분 6종을 검사한 결과 1건에서 국내 식품에 사용할 수 없는 센노사이드 성분이 검출됐다.

센노사이드는 본래 변비 치료에 사용되는 의약품 성분으로 체지방 분해·감소 효능이 없으며, 오·남용할 경우 설사, 구토, 장 기능 저하 등 부작용이 발생할 수 있어 국내에서는 식품에 사용이 금지된 성분이다.

위해성분이 확인된 제품은 소비자가 확인할 수 있도록 식약처 식품안전나라누리집의 ‘해외직구식품 올바로’에 ‘해외직구 위해식품 차단목록’으로 등록됐다. 

또한 관세청에 해당 제품의 통관보류를 요청하고, 방송통신심의위원회에 온라인 판매사이트 접속차단을 요청하는 등 관계기관과 협업해 국내 반입·판매되지 않도록 조치했다.

인천시 관계자는 “해외직구 식품은 정식 수입검사를 거치지 않아 위해성분에 대한 안전성이 확인되지 않은 만큼, 구매 전 성분 확인과 섭취 시 각별한 주의가 필요하다”며, “앞으로도 철저한 검사로 시민의 건강과 안전을 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
