(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 11일 교장, 교감 및 교육복지사 450여 명이 참석한 가운데 교육복지우선지원사업 설명회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

인천시교육청에 따르면, 이번 설명회에서는 ‘교육복지우선지원사업과 학생 맞춤 통합지원의 상호 연계 및 효과적 운영 방안’을 주제로 인천기계공업고등학교 최덕진 교감이 기조 강연을 맡아 큰 호응을 얻었다.

2025년 사업 기본계획 발표와 함께 운영 사례가 소개되어 참석자들의 이해를 도왔으며, 특히 인천청학초등학교의 ‘이주 배경 아동의 놀이를 통한 발달권 증진 – 다(多)같이 놀이터’ 사례와 인화여자중학교의 ‘학교 구성원과 함께하는 교육복지 사업 운영’ 사례는 다문화 학생 지원에 대한 이해를 높이고, 다양한 학교 조직과 예산을 연계한 효과적인 운영 방안을 제시했다.

또한, 인화여자고등학교, 인천생활과학고등학교 등 일반계, 특성화 고등학교에 맞춘 사업 추진, 학생 지원 사례 등이 공유되어 고등학교 운영에 대한 유익한 정보를 제공했다.

인천시교육청은 2005년부터 교육복지우선지원사업을 운영해 왔으며, 선정 기준에 따라 초・중・고등학교에 교육복지사를 배치하고 있다.

기준에 미달하는 학교는 교육지원청 온이음센터가 직접 교육복지 서비스를 지원하여 모든 학생에게 촘촘한 교육복지안전망을 제공한다.

이용창 교육위원장은 인사말에서 학교 현장에서 실질적인 도움을 주기 위해 애쓰고 있는 교육복지사들을 격려하였고, 이상돈 부교육감은 설명회가 인천교육의 정책 방향을 이해하고 교육복지 운영 경험을 나누는 자리가 되길 당부하며, “한 아이도 포기하지 않는 교육으로 학생 성공시대를 열어가는 데에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
