(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 지난 11일, 대전 초등학교 사건 관련 긴급 회의를 열고 학생 안전 및 교원 지원 강화 대책을 발표했다.

인천시교육청에 따르면, 먼저 늘봄교실 참여 학생의 안전 관리 강화를 위해 비상벨 시스템을 개선한다. 

교실 내 비상벨을 누르면 관리실로 연결되는 방식에서 경찰서와 소방서로 긴급 신고가 되는 양방향으로 전환한다.

또한, 교직원의 일과 시간 전후에 늘봄학교에 참여하는 소수 학생의 안전 확보를 위해 늘봄 담당을 2인 이상 근무토록 할 방침이다.

대전 사건의 원인이 된 질환 교원 관리를 위해서 질환교원심의위원회를 강화하여, 상반기 내 교육청 연계 전문병원을 지정하고 질환 관련 진단 전문성을 높여 질환교사 관리의 실효성을 높일 계획이다.

2021년 9월부터 운영 중인 질환교원심의위원회는 현재까지 5건을 심의, 3건을 직권 휴직 처리했다. 

이와 함께, 교원의 마음 건강 관리를 위해 심한 우울증이나 정신적 고통을 호소하는 교원, 소진 상태에 놓인 교원 등 마음 건강 고위험군을 조기 파악하여 교육활동보호센터에서 상담 및 치유 지원을 제공하고, 전체 교원을 대상으로 온라인 심리 검사를 확대 운영할 예정이다.

도성훈 교육감은 “상상할 수도 없는 일이, 학교에서, 그것도 교사에 의해 일어나 너무나 슬프다”며 “다시금 전방위적으로 학생 안전에 대한 점검을 실시하여 어떤 경우에도 학생들이 안전하게 보호되고 교육받을 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 강조했다.
