(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 17일, 지방세 체납자의 은닉재산을 제보한 시민에게 최대 1억 원의 포상금을 지급하는 제도를 시행한다고 밝혔다. 

인천시에 따르면, 이 제도는 시민 제보를 통해 재산은닉이나 고의적 체납처분 회피 등 악의적인 체납 행위를 근절하겠다는 취지로 마련됐다. 

지방세 체납자의 은닉재산 신고는 위택스, 인천시 이택스, 카카오톡 인천시 지방세 챗봇, 팩스, 우편을 통해 가능하다. 

신고 시에는 체납자의 은닉재산을 확인할 수 있는 회계서류, 관련 장부, 매매계약서 등 구체적인 증빙자료를 함께 제출해야 한다.

신고된 정보에 대해 철저한 조사를 실시하며, 이를 통해 체납액이 1천만 원 이상 징수될 경우 지방세심의위원회의 심의를 거쳐 포상금을 지급한다. 

포상금은 징수된 금액의 5~15%이며, 최대 1억 원까지 받을 수 있다.

인천시는 신고 활성화를 위해 카드뉴스, 사회관계망 서비스(SNS), 블로그, 옥외 전광판 등을 활용한 홍보를 강화할 계획이다. 

이를 통해 더 많은 시민이 적극적으로 제보에 참여할 수 있도록 유도할 방침이다.
