(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천강화경찰서가 14일, 인천강화군 BS종합병원과  응급실 내 의료진의 안전확보를 위한 비상연락체계 구축 협약을체결했다고 밝혔다.

강화경찰서에 따르면, 이번 업무협약식은 고성한 경찰서장을 비롯해 김종영 BS병원장 등 11명이 모인 가운데, 최근 강원도 강릉 응급실 폭력사태 등 사회문제로 대두된 응급실 내 의료진 폭행 방지에 대한 근본적인 대책 마련을 위한 것으로,

지난해 11월부터 병원 관계자 측에 응급실 폭력사건 예방을 위한 비상 연락체계 구축, 비상벨 설치 운용, 자위적 방범체계 마련 요구 등에 따른 추가적조치의 일환으로 풀이된다.

특히, 인천지역에서 올해 들어 처음으로 경찰서와 종합병원이 손을 잡고 응급실 폭력에 대응해 핫라인을 구축한 사례라서 더욱 의미가 크다 할 것이다.

인사말에서 고성한 경찰서장은 "이번 계기로 응급의료 현장에서 발생하는 폭력을 적극예방하고, 신속한 초동조치로 의료진과 환자들의 안전을 최우선으로 살피겠다"고 밝혔으며 이에, 김종영 BS종합병원장은 "안전한 진료환경에서 신속하게 응급환자들의 생명을 지킬 수 있게 되어 큰 다행이라고 생각한다"며, "앞으로도 강화경찰서와 긴밀하게 협력하여 주민의 생명을 지키는데 앞장서겠다"고 화답했다.
