삼산경찰서에 따르면, 캠페인은 ‘타면 착, 안전도 착’이라는 슬로건을 걸고 통학차량이 많이 운행되는 학교 밀집지역인 스쿨존에서 진행했다. 

이날 캠페인에서는 차에 타면 안전띠 먼저, 저속에도 안전띠 필수, 전좌석 안전띠 착용, 어린이 안전띠 착용 습관화 등 안전띠 착용의 중요성을 홍보하면서 어린이들에게 ‘서다･보다･걷다’ 안전보행 3원칙도 강조했다.

송혜영 경찰서장은 “안전띠는 생명과 직결되는 생명띠로 초등학생 때부터 안전띠 착용을 습관화하는 것이 중요하다”는 점을 강조하고, 학부모 등 운전자들의 관심과 교통법규준수 등 올바른 교통문화정착을 위한 참여를 당부했다. 

인천삼산경찰서는 앞으로도 유관기관·협력단체와 협업하여 지속적인 교통안전 캠페인을 추진하고, 이와 함께 계도·단속을 병행할 계획이다.
