(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천계양소방서가 12일, 다가오는 여름철 폭염에 대비해 온열질환자의 안전 확보와 인명피해 최소화를 위한 구급출동 태세를 확립했다고 밝혔다.

계양소방서에 따르면 최근 5년간 인천 내 폭염 관련 출동건수가 매년 꾸준히 증가하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 

출동건수는 2020년 17건에서 2024년 83건으로 약 4.9배 증가했으며, 이송 인원도 같은 기간 17명에서 77명으로 크게 늘었다. 

이에 따라 소방서는 여름철 평균 기온 상승과 온열환자 발생 증가에 대응하기 위해 다음과 같은 대책을 마련했다.

주요 내용은 119구급대의 온열질환자 대비 출동 태세 확립, 구급대원의 폭염 응급처치 능력 강화, 펌뷸런스를 활용한 예비출동대 운영, 폭염 대비 구급활동 대책에 대한 대국민 홍보 등이다.

계양소방서 관계자는 “폭염특보 발령 시에는 야외작업을 자제하고 수분섭취 및 휴식을 충분히 취하는 것이 중요하다”며 “시민의 건강과 생명을 지키기 위해 빈틈없는 구급체계를 유지해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
