(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 17일, 지난 4~5월 의료급여 재정 안정화를 위해 장기 및 수시 입․퇴원을 반복하는 의료급여수급자 102명을 대상으로 의료기관을 직접 방문해 장기입원자 실태조사를 했다고 밝혔다.
남동구에 따르면, 실태조사는 반복되는 입·퇴원 및 숙식을 목적으로 하는 입원‧통원 치료가 가능함에도 입원 치료를 하는 대상자의 부적절한 이용사례를 파악하기 위해 실시됐다.
남동구는 조사 과정에서 합리적 치료를 유도하고, 이를 통해 의료급여 재정의 건전성을 높이는 데 중점을 뒀다.
또, 조사 결과를 바탕으로 의료적 필요도가 낮고 퇴원이 가능한 의료급여 수급자 12명을 재가의료급여 대상자로 선정해 의료와 비의료(돌봄, 식사, 이동), 냉난방 지원, 모니터링 등의 서비스를 제공했다.
박종효 남동구청장은 “의료급여 수급자의 지속적인 사례관리를 통해 수급자의 건강한 삶을 도모하고 불필요한 장기 입원을 방지해 합리적 의료 이용을 유도하여 의료급여 재정 안정화에 기여하겠다”고 밝혔다.
