(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 법무부가 1일, ‘불법체류 감축 5개년 계획(‘23.~’27.)‘을 범정부 차원에서 다각적으로 추진하기 위하여 관계기관과 함께 ‘2025년 2차 정부합동단속'을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

법무부에 따르면, 정부합동단속 기간은 지난 9월 29일부터 오는 12월 5일까지 68일간이며 법무부, 경찰청, 해양경찰청, 고용노동부, 국토교통부 등 5개 기관이 참여한다. 

중점단속 분야는 건설업, 배달․택배업 등 국민 일자리 침해 업종, 마약․대포차 등 국민 안전 위협 외국인 범죄, 마사지․성매매 등 미풍양속 저해 사범, 불법 입국․취업 알선 브로커 등 체류질서 문란 출입국사범에 대해 단속 예정이다. 

이번 정부합동단속 기간에는 ‘APEC 2025 KOREA’ 성공적인 개최를 지원하기 위해 경주 지역을 중심으로 집중단속을 실시하는 한편, 인근 외국인 밀집지역 등에 대한 순찰활동도 강화하여 외국인 체류질서 확립에도 만전을 기할 예정이다. 

또한, 불법체류 뿐만 아니라 국민 일자리 침해, 국민 안전 위협, 미풍양속 저해, 불법체류 환경을 조장하는 각종 출입국 알선 사범에 대해서도 집중 단속하여 범칙금 부과, 강제퇴거 및 입국금지 등 엄중 조치할 예정이다.

아울러, 단속과정에서 적법절차 준수와 외국인 인권보호에도 최선을 다하고, 정당한 이유 없이 단속을 거부하거나 방해하는 행위에 대해서도 형사고발 등 엄중히 대응할 방침입니다.
