(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 민주평화통일자문회의 인천부평구협의회가 지난  9일 오후 5시께, 부평구청 회의실에서 자문위원들과 대행기관장 차준택 구청장, 관계 공무원 등 45명이 참석한 가운데 2025년 4차 정기회의를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

민주평통 인천부평구협의회에 따르면, 이날 정기회의는 개회식, 제22기 협의회 임원진 임명장 수여, 주제설명, 자문위원 통일의견수렴, 협의회 활동현황 및 2026년 주요 통일활동 사업 계획 논의 순으로 진행됐다.

자문위원들은 이번 회의에서 화해.협력의 남북관계 재정립 필요성과 이에 대한 북한의 수용 가능성, 남북관계 재정립을 위한 정책적 고려 사항, 이를 실현하기 위한 민주평통의 역할에 대한 설명을 들었다. 

이어 화해.협력의 남북관계 재정립을 위해 우리 정부가 우선 해결해야 할 당면 과제, 대북통일정책의 중요 방향, 민주평통 자문위원의 중점 추진 활동에 대해 심도 있는 의견을 제시했다.

홍삼곤 회장은 개회사에서 “22기가 출범하고 사업일정이 촉박한 상황에서도 자문위원들의 관심과 적극적인 협조가 있었기에 하반기 사업에서 성과를 거둘 수 있었다”며 “오늘 정기회의에서도 남북관계 재정립을 위한 정책 방향에 대해 많은 의견이 개진되길 바란다”고 말했다.

차준택 구청장은 인사말에서 “지난 11월에 민주평통이 22기 출범을 마치고 오늘 이렇게 정책건의를 위한 정기회의에서 다시 마주하게 되어 기쁘게 생각한다”며, “평화로운 한반도를 위한 민주평통의 활동의지가 2026년 새해 사업에 적극 반영될 수 있도록 논의하는 의미 있는 시간이 되길 바란다”고 전했다.
