(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부평구가 지난 지난 8일, 구청에서 차준택 부평구청장 민선9기 핵심 공약 중 하나인 ‘굴포천 생태하천 2단계 사업’에 대한 기본구상 용역 착수보고회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

부평구에 따르면, 이번 용역을 수행하는 ㈜한국종합기술은 2025년 수주액 기준 국내 3위의 종합엔지니어링 회사로, 수자원·환경·조경·상하수도·도시계획 등 분야별 전문인력을 보유한 종합엔지니어링 회사다.

이날 보고회에서는 사업구간인 부평1동 행정복지센터부터 백운쌍굴까지 1.45km 구간에 대한 현황 분석과 구간별 특성을 고려한 하천 조성 방향, 사업비 확보, 대체 주차부지 마련, 하수관로 정비, 안정적인 용수 공급 등 사업 추진을 위한 주요 현안과 향후 추진계획을 논의했다.

부평구는 이번 착수보고회를 시작으로 내년 초까지 중간·최종 보고회를 거쳐 기본구상안을 보완하고, 용역 결과를 바탕으로 단계별 사업을 본격 추진할 방침이다.

차준택 구청장은 “굴포천 생태하천 2단계 사업은 단순한 하천 복원을 넘어 부평공원, 캠프마켓, 부평역 일대를 연결하는 부평의 핵심 미래사업”이라며 “이번 기본구상 용역을 통해 사업 실현 가능성을 면밀히 검토하고, 주민들이 체감할 수 있는 수변공간이 조성될 수 있도록 관계부서와 함께 속도감 있게 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
