(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 남동구립도서관이 오는 7월 14일부터 8월 16일까지, 책 읽는 문화 확산과 전 구민 독서 공감대 형성을 위해 ‘2026년 독후감·독후화 공모전’을 개최한다고 밝혔다.

남동구립도서관에 따르면, 이번 공모전은 올해 처음 독후감 부문과 독후화 부문을 통합하여 개최되는 사업으로, 2026년 남동의 책으로 선정된 ‘자개장 할머니’ 외 7권과 교양도서 ‘소년이 온다’ 외 1권 등 총 10권이 주제 도서이며 남동구민 누구나 공모에 참여할 수 있다.

응모 분야는 아동부, 청소년 및 일반부 등 공모전별로 나뉘며, 남동논현, 소래, 서창, 간석3동, 만수2동 서창어울마당도서관에 방문 또는 이메일을 통해 제출하면 된다. 

응모작은 독서활동가, 작가 등 전문가로 구성된 심사위원단의 심사를 거쳐 독후감 8명, 독후화 6명을 선정하여, 10월 중 개최될 남동구 도서관 문화한마당에서 구청장 표창장을 수여할 예정이다.

Namdong District Library to Host 2026 Book Review & Illustration Contest

The Namdong District Library in Incheon announced that it will hold the "2026 Book Review & Illustration Contest" from July 14 to August 16 to spread a reading culture and foster a shared reading sentiment among all district residents.

According to the Namdong District Library, this contest is being held for the first time this year by integrating the book review and illustration categories. The theme books consist of a total of 10 titles, including "The Mother-of-Pearl Chest Grandmother," selected as the 2026 Book of Namdong, and seven other books, as well as the general interest book "The Boy Comes," and one other book. Any Namdong resident is eligible to participate in the contest. Entries are divided into categories such as the Children's Division, Youth Division, and General Division. Submissions can be made by visiting the Namdong-Nonhyeon, Sorae, Seochang, Ganseok 3-dong, or Mansu 2-dong Seochang Eoulmadang Libraries or via email.

Entries will be reviewed by a judging panel composed of experts, including reading activists and authors. Eight winners will be selected for book reviews and six for book illustrations, and certificates of commendation from the District Mayor will be awarded at the Namdong-gu Library Culture Festival to be held in October.
